Alberta's Care-First auto insurance system starts January 1, 2027, and the Standard Invoice is how health care practitioners bill under it. It documents the health care or service costs a practitioner submits to support payment or reimbursement. Treasury Board and Finance lists it first among the Care-First forms, reports and supporting documents in its September 2026 resource for practitioners.
The health care practitioner both initiates and completes the Standard Invoice, according to Alberta's Care-First forms resource. The insurer is the party that receives it.
