What file types can I upload to Vero?
PDF, Word (DOC and DOCX), plain text, images (PNG, JPEG, and WEBP), and audio from past visits (MP3, WAV, and M4A). Files can be up to 100 MB each and PDFs up to 1,000 pages, and you can drag, drop, or paste several into a visit at once.
Can Vero fill out PDF forms automatically?
Yes. Upload any fillable PDF once and it becomes a reusable template. After a visit, Vero completes it from the conversation and the chart, including text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, and radio buttons, and warns you if anything won’t fit its field.
Where does Vero get the answers it puts in a form?
From the visit transcript, your typed context, documents uploaded to the visit, and the patient’s profile (medications, allergies, history, and demographics), plus the previous visit’s note if you turn that on. If nothing supports an answer, the field stays blank; Vero never invents a value.
Can Vero read handwritten or scanned documents?
Yes. Snap a photo of handwritten notes, charts, or scans, or upload scanned PDFs, and Vero reads them like typed text, keeping the page order and structure of long documents.
Can I create a note without recording the visit?
Yes. Upload a referral letter, a prior note, a lab result, or a photo of paper notes, and Vero writes a full structured clinical note from the documents alone.
Can I edit the filled form?
The finished form is the real PDF with live fields: click into any field to type, tick, or pick, and your edits save automatically. You can also tell Vero in chat, for example “mark it urgent” or “clear the referral reason.”

How do I send the finished form?
Download it, print it, or email it as an attachment straight from Vero. Emailing asks you to confirm the patient’s consent and adds a confidentiality footer automatically.

Is uploading patient documents secure?
Vero is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type II certified. Documents used to build a patient’s profile are deleted from storage right after their details are extracted, and your data is never sold or used to train AI models.
