Michigan Online Reporting System (MORS) for CPS

Michigan mandated reporters can file suspected child abuse or neglect with MDHHS Centralized Intake through the Michigan Online Reporting System (MORS) instead of calling the hotline. Reporting online removes the need for the written DHS-3200 follow-up, and Centralized Intake reviews online complaints the same way as phone complaints, typically reaching an assignment decision within one to three hours.

Who completes it

The mandated reporter completes the complaint in MORS and can attach photos, reports and other documents. People who are not mandated reporters call Centralized Intake instead.

Submitting and payment

How to submit it
Create a password-protected MI Bridges account, log in to MORS and submit the complaint any time from a computer, tablet or phone. A confirmation message and an email with the Intake ID (Log #) follow.
Who pays
MDHHS lists no fee; reporting is a duty under the Michigan Child Protection Law.

Good to know

  • If a child is at imminent risk of injury, death or serious harm, call 911 first and then the Centralized Intake hotline, not MORS.
  • Do not report online if you already called the hotline; phone reports still need a DHS-3200 within 72 hours.
  • If you don't have enough information to complete the required sections in MORS, call the hotline instead.
  • Attachments can be PNG, JPEG, TIFF or PDF, so save Word documents as PDF first. Submitted complaints stay viewable for six months.

This form is completed online with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Centralized Intake, so there is no PDF to fill. Vero Scribe writes the visit note it draws on, so the details are ready when you complete it.

How this list is checked

A form is listed only after its name and number were confirmed on the issuing agency’s or insurer’s own website, or in the form itself. Each entry links to that source. The list was last checked in October 2026. Forms and their requirements change without notice, so check the official page for the current version before you complete one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a DHS-3200 after reporting online?

No. Complaints made through the Michigan Online Reporting System do not require a DHS-3200. Only complaints made by phone need the written DHS-3200, which is faxed or emailed to Centralized Intake within 72 hours of the call.

How fast does Centralized Intake act on online complaints?

MDHHS expects to reach an assignment decision within the same timeframes as hotline complaints, typically within one to three hours, though it may take up to 24 hours. Online complaints are reviewed in the same manner as complaints received by phone.

Is the Michigan child abuse hotline still available?

Yes. The Centralized Intake hotline is open 24/7 and remains fully staffed; MORS is a second option for mandated reporters. Use the hotline for emergencies after calling 911, when you lack information for the required online sections, or if you are not a mandated reporter.
